Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties

  1. In no event shall MTD be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of this website or with the delay or inability to use this website, or for any information, products, and services obtained through this website, or otherwise arising out of the use of this website, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise. Any online application using this website shall be subject to the conditions of MTD, applicable for undertaking the course.
  2. While we exert reasonable efforts to ensure correct and up-to-date information on this website, MTD makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy. MTD assumes no liability or responsibility for any typographical or other errors or omissions in the content on this site. MTD endeavours to provide uninterrupted service through this website, however, MTD does not warrant or represent that use of its online application submission facility will be uninterrupted or that there will be no failures, errors or omissions or loss of transmitted information or that any information, data, content, software or other material accessible through the MTD website will be free of bugs, viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other harmful components.
  3. MTD makes no representations about the suitability of the information, products, and services contained on this website for any purpose. All such information, products, and services are provided "as is" basis without warranty of any kind. MTD hereby disclaims all warranties and conditions with regard to the information, products, and services including all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
  4. After the submission of Online Application in the MTD site and an Application ID number will be provided to his email id.
  5. Only an Individual can apply online for a maximum of two numbers of posts. For any assistance or help, kindly contact MTD through email infomail@mtdind.org.
  6. Costs of the EMK Course are governed by market forces and are liable to change. Any difference in the cost of the course(s) is to be paid at MTD prior to / on commencement of the course.
  7. Once applied online, the system will generate an Electronic receipt and a printable Online Application Details of the candidate. The electronic receipt and the printable Online Application Details can be viewed / printed from the Inbox or Spam folder of the candidate registered email id as it will also be e-mailed to the e-mail address provided by you at the time of application.

Payments

  1. Payment for Online Application submission can be made through credit cards, debit cards, internet banking (direct debit) as specified below.
    1. Credit Card. Payment for Online Application submission is accepted only in INR, through transactions on any VISA and Mastercard Credit cards, issued only in India. Credit Card payment is subject to authorization from the card issuing bank. You are transacting on a website where the Merchant is based in India. Any fee imposed by Visa / MasterCard will be passed on to the card holders by the card issuing bank. Any additional fee charged by the bank, in addition to your course fees, shall be incorporated in your credit card statement. It is not charged or billed by MTD and hence will not be included in the Online Application submission.
    2. Debit Card. Payment for Online Application submission is accepted only in INR, through transactions on any VISA and Mastercard Debit cards, issued only in India. If you have an account with any of the banks listed below, then you can pay for your course(s) securely through the respective bank's Internet banking option and the amount will be automatically debited from your account. Payment through Internet Banking is subject to successful authorization from the account holder's bank. An additional convenience fee per transaction, as levied by the banks, would also be collected. The convenience fee is not levied by MTD and is non refundable if the candidate is advancing / postponing / cancelling the EMK Course. We offer net banking services for the following banks:-

Candidate’s Application and Registration status checking

  1. MTD maintains a record of all candidates undergoing EMK Course at this Institute, which is used for verification by the Government Agencies. This also facilitates candidate to register once and thereafter their information is retrieved as and when it is required by the candidates. This information is also used by MTD to re-issue certificates in the event of loss of certificates, updating any changes in particulars of the candidate, etc. To enjoy these benefits an on-line application system, you are requested to apply and obtain a unique Application ID number. On applying an Online Application Details of the candidate will be sent to your registered email id.
  2. Your unique Application ID number and Date of Birth are confidential and should not be revealed to any person to prevent misuse. In order to retain the status of your application submission, please access the Result tab on the MTD website, and search with Application ID number and Date of Birth.
  3. We request you to access the ‘RESULT’ tab on the MTD website regularly to get updated of your application status for at least once in a week.

Responsibility

  1. As a Candidate of this website and its online facilities: -
    1. You represent that you are of sufficient legal age to use this service, and you possess the legal right and ability to create binding obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of the use of this service.
    2. You understand that you are financially responsible for all uses of this service by you and those using their personal information.
    3. You will supervise all usage of the online application facility under your name.
    4. You warrant that all information supplied by you in applying the form are true and accurate.
    5. Candidate in his own interest is requested to confirm this information from MTD in case of any doubts.

Privacy Policy

  1. To ensure secure online payment and all other transactions of personal data, MTD, uses a technology called SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL encrypts all communications between your computer and our server so that the information can only be read and understood by MTD server. A closed lock in the bottom left (Netscape) or right (Internet Explorer) corner of your browser window shows a secure connection. For further information, please consult your browsers' security specifications. If your browser is equipped with SSL (i.e. Netscape 4.0 and higher/ Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher), then your transaction will automatically be secured. The common standard in the Internet to signal a secure site is a closed lock at the bottom of the browser. As long as the lock is displayed closed your information is secure and encrypted to avoid abuse. If you click the secure transaction link and still cannot see the closed lock, the reason may be that the window is nested in another frame. To check that you have a secure connection (in Internet Explorer), click the right mouse button and properties, then certificates. Then you will see if the connection is secure or not. Another way (in Netscape) click the right mouse button and 'view frame info' at the bottom of the text you will see Security information.
  2. Your Credit Card details are transmitted to the payment gateway under PCI security guidelines.

Documentation Requirements

  1. The responsibility to ensure the correctness of all documentation such as valid passport, CDC, rests solely with you. MTD will not be responsible for any damages arising out of incomplete or improper documentation on your part.
  2. The Candidate shall present all documents as required for the course, by laws, regulations, orders, etc. MTD reserves the right to withdraw the candidate from a course who has not complied with applicable laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements or whose documents is incomplete, or who does not permit MTD to take and retain copies thereof.

Conditions of MTD for Undergoing a Course

  1. The conduct of course shall at all times be subject to the Conditions of MTD for undergoing the course. The general conditions are as follows:-
    1. A course at MTD will be conducted only for candidates who are Indian citizens.
    2. The eligibility criteria specified for each course is to be met by a candidate desiring to undergo the course. To be eligible as a dependent of Serving personnel, the candidate should not be less than 18 years of age.
    3. The criteria of medical fitness as applicable to certain EMK Course are required to be met by a candidate desiring to undergo these certain EMK Course.
    4. A Candidate is required to sign an indemnity bond prior to the commencement of a course that he desires to undergo at MTD.

Reporting for course

  1. Candidate is requested to report to MTD, by 0800 hrs, on the date of commencement of the course. To enter the MTD premises for attending a course, you must present the course along with any of the following valid photo identifications:-
    1. Passport
    2. CDC
    3. Photo Pan Card
    4. Election card
    5. Photo Driving License
    6. Central/State government issued photo ID card

Security at MTD

  1. MTD is located within a naval establishment and therefore security is a prime concern. To this end, a few security measures have been instituted by the naval authorities and Candidates are requested to cooperate to help maintain a secure environment which involves the following:-
    1. Identity check at the gate that could at times involve frisking by the security personnel.
    2. Visual inspection of baggage
    3. Display of ID cards, issued by MTD, when within the premises of MTD for the duration of the course.

Non-Liability for Delay

  1. MTD shall not be liable for damage occasioned by delay in the commencement of the course or cancellation of the course for circumstances beyond the control of the institution or where the number of Candidates that have booked / reported for the course are below an acceptable number for the meaningful conduct of the course. MTD shall take all reasonable measures necessary to conduct the course on the scheduled day. Dates shown in the receipt, course schedule or elsewhere are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contract of MTD and MTD assumes no responsibility for overlapping EMK Course.

Modification of Terms

  1. MTD reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice or liability. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms and Conditions. Continued use of MTD website, following any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

ADVANCE ADMISSION FOR THE PRE-EMKC COURSE: CANDIDATE CAN TAKE ADMISSION IN ADVANCE IN PRE-EMK COURSE TO AN EARLIER DATE PROVIDED VACANCY EXISTS AT RS 5000 (EXCLUDING 18% GST CHARGE & ALL GATEWAY CHARGES) PER COURSE. ADVANCING IS DONE ONLY ONCE AND THERAFTER, NO MORE CHANGES (CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT) WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

POSTPONEMENT POLICY: CANDIDATE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POSTPONE THE  COURSE. AFTER ADMISSION, NO ADVANCEMENT / CANCELLATION / FURTHER POSTPONEMENT ARE ENTERTAINED.

CANCELLATION POLICY: CANCELLING THE COURSE IS PROHIBITED.

RETURN POLICY: FEES ONCE PAID ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERRABLE

ABSENT CANDIDATES: AS PER THE CURRENT MTD REGULATIONS, CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT REPORT FOR THE COURSE ON TIME (0800 HRS) ON THE COURSE COMMENCEMENT DATE WILL BE CONSIDERED AS “ABSENT CANDIDATES”. APPLICATION OF “ABSENT CANDIDATES” WILL RELAPSE AND THEREFORE CANNOT ASK FOR THE COURSE TO A FUTURE DATE. THE ADMISSION WILL BE CONSIDERED CANCELLED WITHOUT ANY REFUND.
